Julius Agwu’s 14-year marriage has come to an end after his wife reportedly moved out of their marital house.
It’s unclear what caused the comedian’s marriage to his wife, Ibiere, to fall apart, but it’s common knowledge that he’s been battling an illness for a long time and has just lately recovered.
In 2015, he underwent brain surgery that nearly cost him his life, and he has kept a low profile since then.
In 2020, he attempted to resurrect his career by resuming ‘Crack ya ribs,’ his yearly comedy concert tour across the country, and announcing his plans to celebrate 25 years in comedy.
Unfortunately, that fantasy was never realized.
The comedian attempted to stage his comedy show in London earlier this year, but the date clashed with that of legendary comedian Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, a.k.a. Ali Baba.
Both shows were planned on the same day, and they had to compete for the same audience’s attention.
After the episode, there was no more news regarding the comic.
Agwu and his wife Ibiere married on May 31, 2008, and they have two children, a girl and a boy.
